Olivia Barbulescu

is a New York–based comedian and writer known for sharp wit, dark sarcasm, and a worldview shaped by both chronic migraines and a lifetime of watching people behave inexplicably.

Before comedy, Olivia competed internationally in synchronized ice skating and studied Math & Computer Science at Stanford, both really efficient ways to get into comedy.

Her stand-up examines terrible jobs, chronic illness, and the strange way people interact with her, all delivered with precision, playfulness, and a tendency to say the quiet part out loud.

Olivia has appeared in the New York Comedy Festival, Good Morning America, and NY Fashion Week. She has opened for Charles McBee, Gina Brillon, Carter Anderson, and Noah Gardenswartz, and performs across the U.S. and Europe. She will be featured in PBS’s “Stories from the Stage” in 2026.

Offstage, she’s usually talking to strangers or writing essays on Substack.
